Support content in accessible format for visually impaired & get income tax rebate

Media Lab Asia and its research partner National Association for Blind (NAB), New Delhi have jointly setup a studio & content generation centre for facilitating accessible content to visually impaired students. The objectives of the centre is to facilitate books & other study material in E-text, Audio, DAISY & other accessible formats to persons with blindness & low vision. It is the only content generation centre in the country with focus on accessible content for higher studies & competitive examinations. The content is generated as per demand of college level visually impaired students and thus encourages them for higher studies. The accessible content for competitive exams inspires visually impaired students to undertake professional courses like engineering & management and helps them in getting jobs.

Hereby we extend an appeal to support generation of audio & DAISY books on a continuous basis. This noble act will help in education & rehabilitation of visually impaired students. At present, there is a demand for conversion of the books given in the list below.

Conversion of each book will cost Rs.4000/- (Four thousands only)

Fund received will be recognized at this website and the donor will be informed the name of the book supported with his/her donation. The donor’s name will also be acknowledged in forward of the respective book.

Donor will also be provided with an IT exemption certificate under section 80G.
